The Hamlet of "Costa d'Agosti" Andora on the Ligurian sea

ANDORA ON THE LIGURIAN SEA

Liguria is one of Italy's regions, nestled between the Apennine mountains and the Maritime Alps on one side and the sea on the other. It has mild and sunny winters and moderate summers.
With the completion of the Via Aurelia in 1830 crossing the region from east to west, Liguria became the first region in Italy to attract tourists.
Andora, set on the sea and crossed by the Merula torrent, has ancient origins.
Possibly founded by the Phocaeans of Anatolia, it was then populated by the Romans who built a settlement on the Via Julia Augusta, of which visible proof still remains in the form of an ancient 10-arch bridge. Afterwards during the dark period of the Middle-Age, the community moved to higher ground, sheltered by a castle which still today, stands as one of the most picturesque settings in Liguria, together with the remains of the Romanesque-Gothic Church dedicated to Saints James and Philip.
Today, Andora is a modern tourist attraction. It is provided with all the necessary infrastructures and services to make its guests' stay easy and enjoyable. Not only that, the surrounding high grounds as well as the inland - the Merula Valley, which slowly rises towards the Maritime Alps - have been characterised for centuries by olive and chestnut groves, orchards and vineyards.
And it is right in this blue-green scenario that the hamlet of "Costa d'Agosti" is set.

Each accommodation (two or three-roomed flats provided with lavatories, gardens or big terraces) has solid reinforced concrete structures, double dividing brick walls that are acoustically isolated to ensure every family's privacy and suitable external heat-insulating coatings either in stone or mortar with adequate thickness and resilient plastering.
Each wall in the bathroom and kitchen areas is coated with ceramic tiles (2,20 m height) as well as the floors in the bedrooms, lounges and kitchens.
The handrails are in steel with an antique-style finish, the external fixtures are in prevernished aluminium or in wood with double glazing glass, while the entrance is protected by an armoured gate.
The independent heating has a heat-pump system (cool in summer and warm in winter) which also supplies the internal distribution of hot water.
